Spinal Stenosis
Narrowing of the spinal canal or neural foramina may produce neurogenic claudication or radicular symptoms.
Lumbar stenosis classically causes leg heaviness or pain with walking that improves with flexion (e.g., leaning on a shopping cart).
Decompression—with or without fusion—may be indicated when conservative measures fail and quality of life is impacted.
