Dr. Y. Michael Li, MD, PhD

Dr. Yan Michael Li is an award-winning, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with focused expertise in complex spine disorders and brain & spine tumors. He is committed to clear, patient-centered discussions of diagnosis, non-operative options, and surgery when appropriate.

Clinical interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, microsurgical decompression, fusion techniques when indicated, spinal cord stimulation for select pain syndromes, and stereotactic radiosurgery pathways coordinated with radiation oncology. He also maintains strong interest in computer-assisted navigation and robotic platforms where they add value for specific anatomy and goals.

Dr. Li serves as Director and Clinical Assistant Professor with the MIBSI within University Spine and Neurosurgery, helping train the next generation of spine and neurosurgical providers while maintaining active clinical practice across multiple communities.
